It’s been a rough month for most of us and for small business owners like myself. I will be completely dishonest if I will tell our colleagues, design team, followers and to people that we outsource that I wasn’t worried or disturbed at all. It has been difficult for me to continue to post and promote our business in a situation where irrelevant services or non essential products were not priority right now (maybe in 3-9 months from now who knows when?). I am worried about our cashflow, business operation expenses and how can we continue to provide for our employees. All these negativity have been clouding my mind since our government decided to implement our community lock down and shutting down massive transportation and private services.
And then I said to myself “well, do what makes you happy” and yeah… sketching and designing makes me happy! Then I started to pick up my sketch pad and pen again. Do what makes you feel happy and alive! I know it’s been rough, dry and it’s hard to be optimistic now but we need to keep on trying and take the right next steps.. little by little until one day when we look back, we are very far from the disruption that we experienced today.
Major Throwback Alert!
from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020
2014: Clueless, fearless and driven. I guess most young entrepreneurs are like that. At 30’s, we are young enough to try new things but old enough to handle “adulting 101” situations.
2014: I continuously wing it BUT with thorough research (business books and online articles) and set up my service/ virtual office at a prime location in Bonifacio Global City #smarterbusiness #workhardstayhumble
2015: Then, there’s Rose, the 2ND AVENGER este… design team member!
2016: I’m soo pregnant and when I became a mom, that changes everything. I feel so inspired to work and to grow our business. Flexible working hours is my priority and perks.
2017: With the whole design team, this is our 1st Design Exhibit at iBUILD Manila World Trade Center Pasay City. A big leap for me and my team as we engage and interact personally to our prospect clients, suppliers, design students and interior design enthusiast.
2018: Our most productive year, we started handle 10-15 projects in a month. That was overwhelming and we are very thankful. Slowly but surely, we are growing and becoming better designers and individuals. I want to grow my business in a slow but steady phase.
2019: Is our time to grow, develop and innovate what we already know. During this year, our design team developed business processes and systems that will respond to our client’s requirements. We developed the CAIXA DECOR BOX, we started to handle more and more corporate accounts.
On this photo, we conducted out of town team building and business planning.
As we celebrate our 6th year anniversary, we pray for brighter days ahead! We would also like to thank our clients, family, friends and supporters for being part of our design journey. BIG Thanks! from the bottom of our hearts .
