Manila-based Interior Designer and fashion and art enthusiast Christine Manalo-Villamora is celebrated by the design community for her contemporary and chic aesthetic in her interiors. Merging her passion in Interior Design and Fashion Design, the former ramp model wants to develop a design collection (just like creating fashion collection) that will echo into her interiors throughout the year. A certain theme and concept that will inspire the whole look of her projects for the entire year and will innovate it to fit her client’s lifestyle and budget. Her design heroes includes Monique Lhuillier, Michael Cinco and Victoria Beckham.

After graduating from Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2006 and passing the Interior Design licensure exam in 2008, Christine began her career in designing luxury interiors for Thunderbird Resorts and flagship stores for VMV Hypoallergenics. After many years of learning from design legends IDr. Ogie Periquet, Arch. Joel Songsong and IDr. Nina Santamaria, Christine recently launched her own design company in April 2014. Her company specializes in high end residential, condo-units, restaurants and hospitality projects with highlight of contemporary interior design for the well-travelled, always upgrading lifestyle of modern day Filipino.

Month before she registered her own design company, Christine was featured in the pages of Arkitektura Magazine’s March 2014 issue and that became her go signal to turn her passion into growing business venture.

Christine recently wrapped 10 condo units at Azure Urban Resort Residences (by Century Properties), one of the breakthrough real estate development in the metro today that features urban beach facilities complete with fine-white sand. She also finished 9 condo units at The Knightsbridge Residences (by Century Properties) with British pop theme, condo units at The Gramercy Residences (by Century Properties), 2 loft type units at The Milano Residences Versace (by Century Properties), condo units at 3 units Pioneer Woodlands (by Empire East) and 2 units The Rhapsody Residences (by DMCI), 2 BR Unit at The Residences at Greenbelt (by Ayalaland), 90 sq. mtrs. condo unit at The Manhattan Square Makati City, 2 BR condo unit at The Columns Legaspi Makati (by Alveo Land), 2 BR Unit at Porto Vita Towers (by Goldland), condo unit at Solano Hills (by Phinma Properties).      We are very approachable, flexible and non-DIVA-ish designers who can work around our client’s working budget. We believe that our client deserves the lifestyle upgrade that they want and we are here to guide them… to translate our design ideas into tangible reality. We are small but hardworking team and interior design is our passion.

“Being in this industry gives me opportunity to meet and work with different clients and different people from the same industry. With this, designing interior spaces taught me that it is not just about what the designer wants, it’s a balance between our team and our client’s need and desire for their space. We make sure to keep them involved in the process in order to guide them towards the right design solution. It really excites me every time our team’s visualization turns into tangible reality and seeing our client’s positive comments and happy faces gives our team satisfaction and motivation to do better for our future projects”

“Being in the Interior Design industry enables me to hone my character and attitude as a Designer. Interior Design is not an easy job, you change the way how people live and you give them the best possible lifestyle upgrade they deserve. Different personalities, different needs—one unique character. Every client has a story, every project is a challenge.”

“Designing an interior space excites me the most in situations when I get to meet people who have different personalities and different needs. Likewise, designing different kind of styles and mix-matching different textures, colors and fabrics keeps me stimulated. It inspires me to look at how much progress are created for each project. It is satisfying to see that the challenges encountered by our team all turns into lessons we carry as designers. In the end, all of our hard work pays off.”

It enables me to learn, experience and address problems. The thing I love the most about business development is forming relationships that provides value to the clients. The business is not just about the results and profitability, having an ambitious and aggressive nature is certainly a prerequisite. It is also about trust, knowledge and engagement within the societies we serve.”
